Wildflowers Galore!

Mt. Revelstoke National Park, British Columbia

As we entered the park the woman at the entrance booth said "You picked a perfect day, blue skies and the flowers are out in force". I was skeptical as we were driving up the mountain and initially I didn't see very many flowers. Then we hit the right elevation and the colors seem to explode! My skepticism was certainly curbed and I was overwhelmed by the beauty and the views.

The meadows were just bursting with color and variety.

And fields of Red Paint Brush and Arctic Lupine

It wasn't just the flowers, it was also the views.

Looking down on the Columbia River

and  out to the Canadian Rockies beyond.

Next stop- Banff and Jasper National Parks.
